facility
Welcome to gravity hamilton
-
Gravity Hamilton has it all. There are five bouldering areas totalling about 210 ft of bouldering terrain. There's a 2016 moonboard, for all your crimpin' needs. There's training equipment.
Oh, and there are walls for roped climbing.
-
This place is tall. Shortest routes: 40' high. Tallest routes: 50'. They average (you guessed it): 45'.
-
Climbing shoes are recommended, but not required if you bring clean indoor running shoes. Bare feet are not permitted in the facility; please bring a pair of indoor shoes to wear.
-
We have climbing suitable for kids (yes, even little ones! 5 years is a good general minimum age), however all customers 13 years of age and younger must be directly supervised by an accompanying parent or adult caregiver.
-
Some of our climbing can be accessed without any formal training and on a walk in basis, while some of our climbing requires advance booking. See this page for more information!
-
All participants must sign our release form. Climbers under 18 years old must have the form signed by their own parent. Relatives, caregivers, and adult friends cannot sign.
climb with us
-
We have over 75 modern boulder problems to climb.
-
Each problem follows one colour, with start & finish holds marked with tape.
-
New boulders are set every week!
-
Grades range from G- to G9, so we've got something for the newest beginner to the advanced climber.
-
We have a 2016 Moonboard.
-
Workout space with weights and climbing specific equipment.
-
Our facility is not equipped with showers.
-
We have 56 separately roped climbs.
-
We NEVER tape routes. Each climb is its own kingdom, with 6' of dedicated width. Lots of lateral movement!
-
Leading! 26 bolted lines, and one of the biggest lead-only walls you'll see anywhere: 4 routes, 50' high & overhanging by 40'
etiquette
-
Bare feet are not allowed in the facility. Please bring indoor footwear to wear off the wall.
-
We strongly encourage climbers to brush the holds. We have many extendable brushes available to help clean holds high on the wall. Brushing increases the friction on holds, and make for a more enjoyable experience climbing. No one likes a greasy hold! Brushing is part of climbing, whether indoors or out.
-
We allow powdered and liquid chalk in the facility. Please be conscious of chalk dust and spills, and report such spills to the gym staff.
-
Please don't spray beta! Part of the fun of climbing is figuring out how to solve problems with your own body, so please ask other climbers if they want advice before offering your two cents. That said, feel free to ask other climbers for their tips, tricks, and beta -- climbers love talking about climbing.
